Scanner Spotter
This weekend the feed's going to be busy. Keep this page open next to the live feed and tap a square the moment it happens. No scanner required — whoever's driving tonight can run the card too.
The spotter card
Free for everyone, no alcohol involved. Point values come from four weeks of this feed's own Friday/Saturday traffic: common stuff is worth less, the rare Halloween-weekend stuff pays off.
Why these three codes
Over the last month, three routine radio codes — Stopping Car, Arrived At Scene, and Information — have fired a combined ~10 times an hour on Friday and Saturday nights between 6pm and 2am on this feed. That's one every six minutes, almost exactly. They're also the most boring things an officer says all night, which is the point: nobody's having their worst night when a car gets pulled over for a taillight.
The rule
- One sip of a mixed drink — not a shot, not a full drink — when any of the three codes above shows up on the feed.
- One trigger per 6 minutes, max. If a second one fires before your cooldown clears, it's free — mark it on the card above instead, no extra sip. Use the cooldown timer below so nobody's guessing.
- Water every 15 minutes, no exceptions. Finish a full glass before the timer goes off again. This is not optional even if you're "fine."
- One sober scorekeeper per group runs the timers and has final say on any disputed trigger. They don't sip.
- Hard stop at 12:30am. Switch to spotter-card-only for the rest of the night, win on points instead.
- Rideshare or a sober ride is arranged before the first sip, not after.
- Anything tagged as an emergency, or linked to an active "developing situation" banner
- Crashes, injuries, fatalities, fires, medical calls, or anyone being hurt
- Intoxicated driver/pedestrian, pursuits, weapons, arrests, or a bomb threat
- Anything involving a kid, or anything that just feels like someone's bad night
Timers
Fan-made, unofficial, and not affiliated with BPD, IUPD, MCSO, or Monroe County Fire — it's just a game built from public feed patterns, for people who already have the feed open. Nobody under 21 touches the sip track. If the feed shows something genuinely bad, put the drink down and don't make it a game.
Have a safe Homecoming and a happy Halloween.
